The cage on our industrial lamp is made from a 3/16” round bar and is welded and shaped to form a protective covering for the bulb. The cage is very heavy duty and cannot be bent with your hands. The cage is then welded onto gas piping and then onto a recycled automotive transmission gear. The lamp is then completed with a flip switch for easy on/off and a twisted cloth chord which completes the style. This lamp is a high-quality product that is completely handcrafted, all metal and no plastic. Expect nothing but the best from Savage Metal. This industrial lamp is great as a bedside lamp, accent table lamp in entryways, reading light, or lighting for kitchen counter areas. There is no dust cover on the shade of the lamp, this is how we designed it. Please keep in mind the gears we use are recycled and due to the handcrafted nature of this product some lamps are unique.
